Cathryn Tinsley Youmans, DVM, MPH

Dr. Youmans is a Knoxville native and 2009 graduate of University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She also has her Master’s Degree in Public Health, giving her special insight into both the veterinary and human public health field. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, traveling, horseback riding, and with spending time with friends, family, and her dachshund Winnie.

Stephen G Skinner, DVM

A 2002 graduate of UT’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Skinner is a decorated military veteran, a retired Navy Lt. Commander who graduated #1 in his class at Naval Retail School. He formerly worked at Central Veterinary Hospital and Beaverbrook Animal Hospital. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Lisa, and their two dogs Kona and Makai.

Anna Bennett-Gildner, DVM

Dr. Bennett is a Knoxville native and 2007 graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine. She spent her first years in practice in Dallas, Texas and is glad to return to the hills of Tennessee. Dr. Gildner is an avid equestrian and rides her horse, Little Bit, as often as possible. She also spends her free time with her husband and two children.

Austin | Vet Assistant

Austin is a Knoxville native and is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he majored in wildlife and fisheries science. Austin has had a passion for wildlife conservation since he was young. This passion has led him around the world working with a wide variety of wildlife species including big cats in Africa, Red Wolves in eastern North Carolina, and Jaguar in Belize. His hobbies include hiking, fishing, traveling, and just being outdoors.


Becca | Vet Assistant

Becca is originally from Greenville, SC. She moved to Knoxville four years ago, when her mom was relocated to this area. She has a lifetime love for animals. She recently became a member of the KAC Family and is very excited to learn all that she can in this great field. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and taking her dogs, Shadow and Magnum, to the dog park, while Jaws prefers to stay home.


Brooke | Vet Assistant

Brooke is originally from Hunstville, AL, but is now a proud Knoxvillian.  She has her associate's degree in photography and is now attending the University of Tennessee to fulfill her other dream - forensic anthropology.  She has been in the vet field since 2008 and enjoys caring for animals, big and small.  She shares her home with her pit/american bull dog mix Canvas, pit bull Ardi, and cat, Moss.


Haley | Vet Assistant

Haley was born and raised in Knoxville and came from a lifelong love of animals. This love has led her to volunteer at the Humane Society and at the Knoxville Zoo before pursuing a position at KAC. She is attending UT and working toward a degree in animal science. In her free time, Haley hangs out with her golden retriever, Gracie.


Jeff | Clinic Manager / Vet Assistant

Jeff comes to us from the human health field after a change in direction, and is now using his previous clinical and laboratory experience with his new furry patients.  Jeff also doubles as our in house computer tech support expert, and spearheaded our recent computer system upgrade.  In his off time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and his Husky, Alena.


Jenny Warren | Certified Pet Groomer

Jenny has been grooming since 2003 and has been with us since December of 2010. She enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Even though she may not be a Tennessee Vols fan, we can forgive her because she a great groomer and co-worker! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.


Leslie | Vet Assistant

Leslie has worked in the veterinary world for 22 years and most of that time has been in the emergency side of pet care. Most of her past veterinary experience has been with cats and dogs, but she has worked at several clinics that do more unusual "pets", including raptors, pocket pets, reptiles, and farm animals. She has an associate's degree in emergency management and a paramedic certificate. She enjoys working with all animals, but her favorites are definitely the feline patients. She has two grown children, four cats, and one dog. Outside of work she enjoys anything outdoors including, hiking, boating, and rock climbing.

 


Sara | Receptionist

Originally from New York, Sara has lived in Tennessee since 2004. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her two children and five grandchildren in Arizona. Her favorite pastimes are traveling and gardening.
 


Sarah | Vet Assistant

Sarah will be a second year veterinary student at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine starting the fall of 2017. She received her degree in May 2016 with a Bachelor's in Animal Science with a concentration in pre-veterinary medicine. She enjoys hanging out with friends, visiting her family and two dogs in Chattanooga, and riding horses in her time off.
 


Vickie | Receptionist

Vickie has lived in Knoxville for 29 years and is a retired school teacher and church administrator. She has two grown children, two cats, and a golden/collie mix Riley, who is also her jogging companion.
